Kazakhstan, Russia to cooperate on autonomous transport
The transport ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia have signed a memorandum of cooperation on the development of autonomous transport and digital technologies, TASS reports, citing the press service of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport.
“As part of the International Transport and Logistics Forum in Saint Petersburg, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the development of autonomous transport and digital technologies in the transport sector,” the statement said.
The agreement covers collaboration on digitalising the transport industry, implementing autonomous technologies, and transitioning to electronic permits and cargo documentation. Both sides plan to exchange expertise and information, organise joint events, and train specialists to work with advanced digital technologies.
