Kazakhstan’s Air Astana cancels Dubai routes through March 31
Kazakhstan’s national carrier, Air Astana, has temporarily suspended regular flights from Almaty and Astana to Dubai amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The airline said the restriction will be in effect from March 11 through March 31 inclusive, citing the deteriorating security situation in the region as the reason for the move, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
Passengers affected by the cancellations are being offered a full refund without penalties or the option to rebook free of charge on flights scheduled between April 1 and May 31.
The announcement comes as Kazakhstan also temporarily suspended operations at 11 polling stations across 10 countries due to the regional escalation, according to earlier reports.
