Kazakhstan’s National Guard delegation visits Azerbaijan Security cooperation on agenda
A delegation from Kazakhstan’s National Guard, led by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Commander of the National Guard Ansagan Baltabekov, paid a working visit to Azerbaijan, Polisia.kz reports.
During the visit, the delegation held bilateral meetings with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, to discuss ways to strengthen and expand cooperation in public security.
The Kazakh delegation was also briefed on the activities of Azerbaijan’s Internal Troops, initiatives against organised crime, and broader public safety measures.
Major-General Baltabekov emphasised the importance of exchanging experiences and best practices developed over recent years in maintaining public order.
Colonel-General Shahin Mamadov, Commander of Azerbaijan’s Internal Troops, expressed readiness to enhance cooperation with Kazakhstan to improve operational capabilities.
Additionally, the delegation toured a military unit responsible for public order in Baku, observing the weapons and equipment used by Azerbaijan’s Internal Troops. Baltabekov also visited the barracks, inspected conscripts’ rations, and toured special forces and canine units.
