Kazakhstan sends request to Germany over arrest of espionage suspect

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has sent an official request to Germany regarding the arrest in Berlin of an individual in a espionage-related case, KazTAG reported.

“In connection with media reports about the detention of a citizen of Kazakhstan in the Federal Republic of Germany on suspicion of illegal activities, an official request has been sent to the competent authorities of Germany. A response is currently awaited. The matter is under the control of the ministry,” the press service of the Kazakh MFA said.
