Kazakhstan, Shell launch digital project, sign memorandum

Kazakhstan and Shell will cooperate on a digital project after Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy, the National Geological Service, and Shell Kazakhstan have signed a memorandum of cooperation in hydrocarbon data analysis.

Under the agreement, the parties plan to launch a pilot project to develop a geographic information system (GIS) for studying Kazakhstan’s subsoil resources, Caliber.Az reports.

The Energy Ministry said the digital platform will enable more advanced processing and interpretation of accumulated historical geological data.
