Kazakhstan supports Azerbaijan's chairmanship of CICA, says FM Nurtleu
Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murat Nurtleu has said his country supports Azerbaijan's priorities in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
He noted that the forum, established on Kazakhstan's initiative, has become a full-fledged dialogue platform necessary for strengthening regional security and cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing via local media.
Nurtleu also emphasized that Kazakhstan is ready to continue working together to transform this forum into an international organization.
"In general, our agenda and all our positions coincide, and we provide constant support to each other. We have agreed to make efforts to qualitatively and timely implement the agreements reached at a high level in trade, economic, and investment areas," Nurtleu highlighted.
He also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for supporting the UN General Assembly resolution on the establishment of a UN Regional Center for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Almaty for Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, which was joined by 152 countries.
