Kazakhstan to build warships jointly with Türkiye PHOTO
Kazakhstan's state-owned company Zenit Urals Plant has agreed with Türkiye's Military Factory and Shipyard Management Inc. (ASFAT) to build warships for Kazakhstan's navy.
At the 16th International Defence Industry Exhibition IDEF 2023, negotiations between Turkish government contractors ASFAT and YDA Group, affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of Defence, and the Kazakh Zenit were concluded, Defence Turk reports.
The agreement includes the design and construction of sea transport vehicles, commercial vessels and major warships for Kazakhstan's fleet.
A cooperation agreement was also signed at the exhibition between Kazakhstan Engineering R&D Centre Kazakhstan Engineering LLP and Meteksan, a Turkish defence technology company based in Ankara.
According to the agreement, the cooperation will be conducted on unmanned systems.
