Kazakhstan to evacuate remaining diplomats from Middle East if situation worsens, FM says

Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev commented on the situation of diplomats in the conflict zone in the Middle East after voting in the referendum on March 15, 2026.

According to Kazakh media, the Foreign Minister noted that the families of diplomats had been evacuated earlier along with other Kazakh citizens.

“Only the personnel necessary to carry out essential work remain there for now. But if the situation gets out of control, we will, of course, take measures to evacuate both the diplomats and the technical staff remaining in our embassies,” Kosherbayev said.
