Kazakhstan to host 51st UEFA congress in 2027
Kazakhstan will host the 51st UEFA Congress on March 4, 2027, UEFA announced during its 50th anniversary Congress in Brussels.
The event will take place in the capital and marks the first time the country will stage one of European football’s largest gatherings, Kazakh media reports.
The UEFA Congress, the governing body’s highest decision-making forum, brings together representatives from all 55 European national associations.
It sets strategic directions, approves financial and organisational matters, and oversees international competitions. The 51st Congress will also serve as an election Congress, voting on the UEFA president and Executive Committee members.
UEFA will fully fund the event, with no use of Kazakhstan’s state budget. Hosting rights reflect UEFA’s recognition of a member country’s contribution to football, and the event is expected to strengthen Kazakhstan’s position within the European football community while boosting international sporting cooperation.
