Kazakhstan urges Ukraine to prevent drone attacks on Kazakh vessels
Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi has urged Ukraine to prevent drone attacks on Kazakh vessels in the Black Sea.
Speaking after a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Tleuberdi said the two sides had discussed the issue, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
“First and foremost, we discussed with the Ukrainian side the need to prevent drone attacks on our vessels in the Black Sea in the future,” he said.
Tleuberdi said he had also held bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of several countries, including Sergei Lavrov and Andrii Sybiha, to discuss Kazakhstan's relations with them in the context of the ongoing conflict.
He previously said Kazakhstan condemned repeated drone attacks on infrastructure used to export Kazakh oil, saying they threatened civilian shipping, disrupted international trade and could affect the stability of global energy supplies.
