Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan ink major cooperation pact
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with his Kazakh counterpart Yermek Kosherbayev, who is in Tashkent on an official visit, during which the two ministers signed a cooperation program between their foreign ministries for 2026–2027.
Saidov described the meeting as substantive, covering key areas of bilateral and multilateral collaboration, Caliber.Az reports, citing Uzbek media.
The ministers highlighted the strong momentum in diplomatic contacts and emphasized the significant potential for expanding trade, economic, and transport-logistics cooperation between the two nations.
The Uzbek foreign minister underscored that relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have reached an unprecedented level, driven by the political will of their respective leaders.
Saidov said that it was a sincere pleasure for them to see their Kazakh brothers on Uzbek soil.
