Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan leaders tour Situational Centre in Bukhara
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokaev and Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev have visited a newly opened Situational Centre in the Bukhara region, officials said.
The facility operates around the clock to monitor key developments across the region, including infrastructure, housing and utilities, transport networks, and public security, Caliber.Az reports per Kazakh media.
The centre is also designed to coordinate emergency services during crises and to run scenario modelling to assess potential risks and improve regional preparedness.
During an informal meeting in Bukhara, Mirziyoyev presented Tokaev with archival materials relating to historic sites in the region.
The documents include copies of drawings, photographs and archival records from the 1920s to 1950s concerning the mausoleums of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and Rabia Sultan Begim in Turkestan. Officials noted that some of the materials had not previously been introduced into academic circulation and are considered to hold significant historical and cultural value.
