Kazan Airport temporarily restricts flights amid safety precautions
Kazan Airport in Russian Kazan city has introduced temporary restrictions on operations to ensure flight safety, according to the Telegram channel of the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya).
“To ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights this morning, temporary restrictions were imposed on the work of Kazan Airport. The air harbour temporarily does not accept and does not send flights,” the agency said, per Caliber.Az.
The statement also noted that at the moment air traffic controllers, airport services and aircraft crews are taking measures to ensure flight safety, which remains the “top priority”.
According to the online board of Kazan Airport, the departure time of 11 flights and arrival time of 8 flights have been postponed.
Earlier, almost 200 passengers were stuck at Moscow's Vnukovo airport. Utair passengers said that their flight to Vladikavkaz had been postponed more than ten times since 00:25 Moscow time.
