Key road in Tbilisi to close temporarily for safety works

One of the main roads in Tbilisi will be temporarily closed due to scheduled safety works, local authorities have announced.

Traffic on Chabua Amirejibi Highway — also known as the Vake–Saburtalo road — will be fully restricted on April 16 from 01:00 to 06:00. The closure is necessary to carry out rock-clearing operations on a nearby slope.

The restriction will apply to the section stretching from the tunnel at the intersection of Chabua Amirejibi Highway and Kakutsa Cholokashvili Highway to Mikheil Tamarashvili Street.

During the closure, drivers will be able to use alternative routes, including Kakutsa Cholokashvili Highway, Sulkhan Tsintsadze Street, and Mikheil Tamarashvili Street.
