Khamenei ally warns: No revenge means no security for future leaders
Alireza Panahian, a conservative Iranian cleric regarded as a close associate of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has warned that failing to avenge Khamenei’s death would endanger the security of those who lead Iran in the future.
According to Iran International, Panahian delivered the remarks during a speech on Wednesday, where he framed retaliation as a matter of national and institutional survival. “If Khamenei is not avenged, the security of future leaders will be at risk,” he said.
Panahian also called on Iranian officials to reject any proposals for a ceasefire, arguing that the current moment should be used to press forward rather than de-escalate. “Now that we have gained the upper hand, destroy them,” he declared, signalling opposition to diplomatic efforts aimed at halting hostilities.
