Kremlin awaits resumption of trilateral talks on Ukraine
Russia expects the resumption of trilateral consultations and continues to value US mediation efforts on Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
He made it clear that Russia highly appreciates the peacekeeping efforts of American negotiators and personally President Donald Trump on the Ukrainian track, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Peskov added that Moscow hopes trilateral consultations will resume soon and expressed confidence that the U.S. side will have more time and opportunities to engage in efforts toward a settlement in Ukraine in the near future.
The spokesman also clarified that the processes of resolving the situations around Ukraine and Iran are not directly linked.
According to him, any connection is only indirect, stemming from the fact that U.S. negotiators have recently been focused on the Iran track.
“Overall, these are not directly interconnected processes; they are only indirectly linked by the fact that American negotiators are currently engaged in Iranian affairs,” he noted.
