Kremlin: Azerbaijani, Russian leaders to hold bilateral talks in Dushanbe On sidelines of Dushanbe CIS Summit

A bilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will take place in Dushanbe, the Russian news agency Interfax reported, citing Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

“In addition to the previously announced programme of the visit to Tajikistan, there will be a meeting between the leaders of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev,” Peskov told journalists.

The meeting will coincide with the CIS Heads of State Summit in Dushanbe on 10 October 2025, hosted by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

Expected participants include Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
