Kremlin confirms ongoing dialogue between Moscow, Tehran

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, has confirmed that Russia continues to maintain dialogue with the leadership of Iran, despite the current unlikelihood of a high-level meeting.

Peskov said that while Russia is in contact with Iranian officials, a face-to-face meeting between President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian is “unlikely for obvious reasons,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

He added, “It is clear now that a meeting is unlikely for obvious reasons. But the dialogue with the Iranian leadership continues.”
