Kremlin envoy confirms ongoing dialogue with Witkoff and Kushner, eyes June meeting
Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president’s special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, said he remains in constant contact with US President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and American businessman Jared Kushner.
“I would not like to name specific dates, but a regular meeting will take place in June,” he said in an interview with the newspaper Berliner Zeitung. Dmitriev emphasised that he is “in constant contact” with Witkoff and Kushner.
Dmitriev was also asked whether entrepreneurs such as himself, Witkoff and Kushner could “save the world” and achieve what politicians have been unable to accomplish. “Of course, politicians, diplomats and political representatives must play a key role in ensuring peace worldwide. However, businesspeople and economists from all countries can also play a constructive role by developing economic cooperation and unlocking the potential for shared prosperity among states,” the RDIF chief said.
