Kremlin: Kazakh companies’ interests suffering due to Kyiv’s “energy blackmail”
27 March 2026 14:30
The interests of Kazakh companies are being harmed by what he described as Kyiv’s “energy blackmail,” said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
“In effect, it is Kyiv that is engaging in and continuing to engage in energy blackmail, as a result of which the interests of our company [Russian], as well as American and Kazakh companies, are suffering,” he told journalists.
The Kremlin also denied that Russia has any plans to restrict oil supplies via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) as a means of exerting pressure on the United States.
“The answer is very simple: this is not true,” Peskov said.
