Kremlin links Putin–Pashinyan talk to EAEU agenda, condemns French tanker seizure
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said that the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was a continuation of discussions previously held at the level of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Peskov made the remarks while responding to journalists’ questions, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
He noted that during the call, Putin congratulated Pashinyan on his birthday, describing it as a “good occasion” to continue dialogue on issues previously raised within the EAEU framework.
Separately, the Kremlin spokesperson commented on the detention of a Russian tanker by France, describing the incident as “bordering on piracy” and stating that it does not comply with international law.
Peskov further stated that Russia is implementing measures to safeguard its cargo and will continue to uphold those efforts going forward.
