Kremlin: Russian oil remains essential for global energy markets
14 March 2026 10:32
Oil supplies from Russia returning to global markets after the easing of United States sanctions are contributing to market stabilisation, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Speaking to the Russian state news agency TASS, Peskov said many countries continue to need Russian oil, particularly during the current crisis in the Middle East.
According to him, the partial return of Russian oil to global energy markets is helping improve stability.
Peskov added that this reflects the way the global economy functions and argued that international energy infrastructure cannot simply abandon the large volumes of oil supplied by Russia.
