Kremlin says developments around Greenland require thorough analysis
Everything that is happening around Greenland will need to be thoroughly analysed, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“All of this [the situation around Greenland – ed.] will have to be carefully analysed. We do not yet know what kind of deal will ultimately be implemented regarding Greenland,” Peskov said in response to a question about whether there were concerns that at some point everything taking place around Greenland could be directed against Russia, per TASS.
The Kremlin representative also noted that after the meeting between US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, news began to emerge concerning the situation around the island.
“But if you ask yourself what the NATO Secretary General has to do with Denmark or Greenland, you are unlikely to find an answer. None at all. And how Mr. Rutte could decide the fate of the Kingdom of Denmark is also unclear. A lot of strange things are happening,” Peskov stressed.
