Kremlin seeks clarification on Yerevan's CSTO position
The Russian Federation will continue to work with Armenia to clarify Yerevan's stance on the CSTO, hoping that the countries will maintain their partnership and alliance, according to Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"We will continue working with our Armenian friends to clarify their position. We hope to maintain our partnership and allied relations," Peskov stated in response to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's comments on Armenia's potential withdrawal from the CSTO, as per TASS.
"Each country determines its own priorities. Our priorities are well understood and consistently defended, and these priorities in the field of security and collective security are shared by CSTO member states," Peskov added.
He emphasized that Armenia also has a vested interest in these security priorities.
