Kremlin unaware of Chechen leader son's state awards
Press secretary for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov has said that he is unaware of awarding Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov’s son Adam Kadyrov.
The journalists have calculated that Adam Kadyrov has already received nine state awards, Kommersant reports.
“I have no information that he was nominated for any state awards. I don’t know anything about this,” Peskov answered when journalists asked whether the Kremlin or the president was going to reward Kadyrov’s son.
Adam was awarded after Ramzan Kadyrov published video footage in which his son Adam beats 19-year-old Nikita Zhuravel. He is on trial in Chechnya for video footage showing the burning of the Quran. Kadyrov said that he was proud of his son’s deed and called him “a hero of all Muslims”. The title of Hero of Chechnya was assigned to Adam Kadyrov on October 7.
