Kurdish Peshmerga fighters say thousands ready to defend Iran’s borders

The Kurdish Muslim “Peshmerga” organisation has stated that thousands of trained and experienced fighters are ready to defend Iran’s western borders.

According to Khabar Fouri, the group said in a statement that its forces, as in the early years following the Islamic Revolution, are prepared to confront any threats in that direction.

The statement also included a warning addressed to what it described as “misled members of separatist groups.” Representatives of the organisation called on them to lay down their arms and “return to the nation, and also stop being toys in the hands of the Israeli-American leaders of these groups who consume the rations.”

Otherwise, the statement warned, they would face “humiliation, inevitable death and destruction.”
