“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and deep outrage over the malicious and criminal Iranian aggression against energy facilities in the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to several others. This constitutes a clear criminal attack and a blatant violation of all norms of international law, as well as a serious escalation amid ongoing international efforts to stabilise and de-escalate tensions in the region.
The State of Kuwait reaffirms its solidarity and full support for the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as its full endorsement of all measures taken to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and resources,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, as a result of the attacks on Saudi Arabia’s energy facilities, the kingdom’s oil production has decreased by approximately 600,000 barrels per day, while the capacity of the East–West pipeline has dropped by around 700,000 barrels per day, Reuters reported.
The latest attacks, including earlier strikes on several facilities, have disrupted operations at key oil, gas, refining, petrochemical, and power infrastructure sites in Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and the industrial city of Yanbu.
