Kyrgyz president arrives in Kazakhstan for EAEU summit

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, to participate in key regional economic meetings.

Japarov is expected to attend the Eurasian Economic Forum as well as the summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media. 

Leaders of the EAEU will discuss issues related to customs regulation, budget policy, the development of transport corridors, as well as the introduction of artificial intelligence and digital technologies within the integration bloc.

Kazakhstan is chairing the EAEU this year and is hosting the union’s main integration events.

The forum brings together representatives of member states, international organisations, businesses, and the expert community.
