The new shipment of drones is part of Latvia's continued support for Ukraine, with two Latvian companies involved in fulfilling the orders.
According to Sprūds, the drones are expected to be delivered throughout the first half of the year as part of a larger effort coordinated by the drone coalition, a collaborative initiative aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defence arsenal.

Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Latvia has emerged as one of the staunchest supporters of the Ukrainian cause. To date, the country and its citizens have contributed over €840 million in aid to Ukraine. Since May 2023, the "Ziedot.lv" platform has been actively running the "Drones for Ukraine!" initiative, which has raised more than €414,000 for the procurement and delivery of drones to aid Ukraine’s defence efforts.
