Latvian president congratulates President Aliyev on victory in snap presidential elections

President of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the victory in the snap presidential elections.

“Your Excellency, please accept my sincere congratulations on your re-election as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Let me express my confidence that by our joint efforts the good and constructive relations between Latvia and Azerbaijan will continue to flourish both bilaterally and within multilateral frameworks,” Caliber.Az reports citing Azertac.

“I am convinced that further development of our well-established dialogue will benefit the long-term interests of both our countries and people. Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration along with the wishes of good health, strength and success in fulfilling your esteemed duties, as well as peace and prosperity to your country and its people,” the letter says.
