Lithuania to send €412,000 in medical aid to Ukraine
Lithuania will supply Ukraine with humanitarian aid from its state medical reserve valued at more than €400,000, the Health Ministry said, as part of its ongoing support for Kyiv.
The Lithuanian government approved the transfer in response to a request from Ukraine, authorising the delivery of medical equipment and essential supplies worth €412,000, Delfi reports.
The shipment will include ventilators, patient monitoring systems, infusion pumps, a portable X-ray unit, bronchoscopes and disposable syringes, along with mattresses, pillows and other materials required for the operation of healthcare facilities.
Health Minister Marija Jakubauskienė said Lithuania’s assistance to Ukraine has been consistent since the start of the war.
“We help not only politically, but also by strengthening the healthcare system of this country. Deliveries of medical equipment and medicines will help medical institutions provide care for patients in the difficult conditions of war. We are with Ukraine and will be with it for as long as it takes,” she said in a statement.
The ministry added that Lithuania has been providing regular humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, including shipments of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals and other critical supplies.
