Major fire damages warehouse facilities in southeastern Türkiye PHOTO

A major fire broke out at warehouse facilities belonging to local retail chains in Türkiye’s Batman Province, causing significant damage.

The blaze erupted in an industrial area near the village of Kösetarla. According to local authorities, the fire started at one of the warehouses for reasons that remain unknown before rapidly spreading to neighbouring facilities.

Firefighters, medical teams, personnel from AFAD, police officers, gendarmerie units, and forestry service crews were deployed to contain the blaze.

The warehouses sustained extensive damage as a result of the fire. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
