Mass shooting occurs at market in Georgia

An armed man opened fire at the Istanbul Bazaar in the city of Rustavi (40 kilometres from Tbilisi) in Georgia.

According to the Georgian Interior Ministry, the man who organized the shooting was detained at the scene, four people were killed, including his uncle, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

According to the Interior Ministry, the uncle of the 36-year-old man worked at the market. In addition, it is reported that one person was wounded in the shooting - also a relative of the deceased. The injured man has been transferred to a hospital where he is being treated.

The police have been mobilized on the ground and are carrying out all relevant activities.
