Massive fire engulfs recycling plant in Türkiye’s Adana

Firefighters are continuing efforts to bring under control a blaze at a recycling plant in Türkiye’s southern city of Adana.
The fire broke out at a recycling facility in the Sarıhamzalı neighbourhood of the Seyhan district in the morning hours, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
Following reports of the incident, multiple fire crews, police units and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
The fire quickly intensified, with parts of the facility engulfed in flames. Residents reported hearing occasional explosion-like sounds, while thick smoke rose over the area and was visible across the city.
Police cordoned off the surrounding area and moved residents away from the site as a precaution.
