Massive inferno turns dozens of vehicles into wreckage in Türkiye’s Izmir PHOTO

A fire broke out at an impound lot in the Bornova district of Izmir, Türkiye, destroying 62 vehicles.

The blaze spread rapidly and quickly engulfed vehicles parked at the site, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

Following reports of the incident, emergency medical teams, police officers, and a large number of firefighters were dispatched to the scene. After an intensive firefighting operation, the fire was brought under control and extinguished. However, 62 vehicles — most of them motorcycles — were completely destroyed.

Preliminary findings indicate that the fire started in a grassy area adjacent to the impound lot before spreading to the parking facility itself.
