Media: EU greenlights record military aid package for Armenia
28 January 2026 19:48
On January 28, ambassadors from European Union member states approved the allocation of a €20 million non-lethal military aid package to Armenia, marking the largest support package the country has received under the European Peace Facility to date.
The announcement was reported by Rikard Jozwiak, the Europe editor for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty on his X account.
“European ambassadors today approved the biggest non-lethal military aid package to date for Armenia- 20 million euro - under the European Peace Facility (EPF). Another small sign that Armenia is edging closer to EU ahead of this year's crucial election,” Jozwiak posted.
