Media: Armenia to discuss relations with CSTO in Minsk
The delegation headed by the Armenian parliament speaker Alen Simonyan will visit the capital of Belarus to participate in the session of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on May 17-18.
According to Caliber.Az, this was reported by Yerevan's Hraparak newspaper.
To recap, CSTO chairmanship passed to Belarus in 2022. At the beginning of the year, it was announced that in May a visiting session will be held to discuss problematic issues.
"It is expected that the relations between Armenia and the CSTO will also become a topic for discussion.
It should be noted that the previous meeting of the CSTO PA Council was held on June 6 in Yerevan. It is noteworthy that in the delegation of 12 people headed by the speaker of the parliament, there are only 4 parliamentarians, the rest are from the chairman's office.
But the MPs of the "Civil Contract" did not send a note of protest to the new head of the apparatus, David Karapetyan. Recall that one of the reasons for the dismissal of the former leader Vahan Naribekyan was that the staff of the apparatus go on business trips more than the deputies,” the newspaper writes.
