Media: Blast in Tehran shakes premises of Foreign Ministry

Multiple explosions were recorted in Iran’s capital, Tehran, and in the central city of Isfahan on June 8.

The initial blast shook the premises of the Foreign Ministry in central Tehran, Al Jazeera reports.

The exact location and cause of the explosion remained unknown. Air defence systems were simultaneously activated in parts of Tehran.

Earlier, a drone was reportedly intercepted and destroyed by Iranian air defences over the capital, according to a reporter from the Mehr News Agency.

Separately, residents also reported hearing explosions in Isfahan, though further details were not immediately available.
