Media: Gloria Jeans plans to close around 150 stores in Russia
Russian retailer Gloria Jeans is expected to close approximately 150 of its stores across several regions in 2026, RBC reported, citing sources.
The closures will target the least profitable locations.
According to the report, a real estate market consultant familiar with the company’s plans, as well as an advertising industry source, indicated that up to 200 stores could be optimised. Gloria Jeans is likely to end leases as rental contracts with shopping centre owners expire, one source noted.
Gloria Jeans produces and sells clothing, footwear, and accessories for adults and children. The retailer has been gradually reducing its store network over recent years. In 2023, Gloria Jeans operated 683 retail outlets, declining to 574 by the end of 2025. Last year, the company’s revenue fell 15.4% year-on-year to 24.4 billion rubles ($303.1 million), while net profit reached 70.2 million rubles ($872,000).
