Media: Iran fires up missile production after Israel standoff
14 January 2026 18:46
Iran has reportedly increased its missile stockpiles following last year’s 12-day conflict with Israel, signaling a renewed focus on military preparedness amid domestic unrest, Reuters reports.
Majid Mousavi, commander of the Aerospace Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), made the comments in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s threats of intervention amid anti-government protests in the country.
“We are at the peak of our readiness,” Mousavi said, emphasizing that the damage sustained during the conflict had been fully repaired. He added that production across multiple sectors of the IRGC’s aerospace forces has now surpassed levels recorded prior to June 2025.
