Media: Iran's top diplomat set to visit New Delhi
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to visit New Delhi next week for consultations with senior Indian officials, as the situation in West Asia continues to evolve rapidly.
Araghchi’s visit is scheduled for January 15-16, although final preparations for the trip are still underway, Mehr reports.
This will mark Araghchi’s second visit to India, with his last trip occurring in May 2025, when India was embroiled in a four-day conflict with Pakistan.
During his visit, Araghchi is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries, with key topics on the agenda including advancing the development of the Chabahar port, enhancing regional connectivity, and boosting trade relations. Additionally, discussions are likely to touch on regional developments, particularly the peace process in Gaza.
