Media: Oil depot in Russia ablaze after Ukrainian drone strike PHOTO / VIDEO

19 February 2026 09:01

A major fire has broken out at an oil depot in Russia’s Pskov region following a reported Ukrainian drone attack, according to analysis by independent outlet ASTRA.

Footage shared by eyewitnesses and verified by ASTRA indicates that the blaze erupted at the Velikiye Luki oil depot on Litaynaya Street in the city of Velikiye Luki.

The facility lies roughly 300 metres from the Velikiye Luki Meat Processing Plant, from where the video appears to have been filmed. Workers from the plant are reportedly seen fleeing the area in the immediate aftermath of the strike.

According to ASTRA’s OSINT analysis, protective netting had been installed above the depot’s fuel storage tanks in an apparent attempt to shield them from drone attacks. However, eyewitness accounts suggest that several drones penetrated the defences, triggering a large-scale fire.

The “Velikolukskaya Oil Depot”, located at 19 Litaynaya Street, is owned by Pskovnefteprodukt LLC. The site stores petroleum products, including diesel and petrol, for onward distribution to filling stations, businesses and transport companies.

The facility was previously targeted by drones in April 2024.
