Media reports fresh intrigues in Armenian Interior Ministry Deputy minister discredits her boss
The Armenian Interior Ministry is reportedly plagued by rumours that Deputy Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan is consistently undermining the authority of Interior Minister Vahe Ghazaryan, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian newspaper "168 Zham".
According to the article, it is alleged that some Soros MPs and NGOs are aiding Sargsyan in her efforts.
Reportedly, Sargsyan has shared with her relatives that Interior Minister Vahe Ghazaryan takes leave when representatives of the Interior Ministry are required to present a report at a government session. Sargsyan claims that Ghazaryan is unable to present a draft and "can't put two words together."
"By way of example, Arpine Sargsyan cited the case when it was necessary to present the draft government decree on determining the procedure of certification of police officers at the government meeting, and Vahe Ghazaryan decided not to report on it. Arpine Sargsyan also mentioned the Charter of the Armenian Passport System and the draft amendments to the Government Decision on the approval of the profile of the passport of the Armenian citizen. In addition, Arpine Sargsyan told her relatives that the Minister cannot even report on primitive projects.
It should also be noted that Arpine Sargsyan's patrons are the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Kristine Grigoryan, the president of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) Karen Andreasyan and Daniel Ioannisyan, with whom she regularly meets and discusses further steps. Therefore, no matter how hard Vahe Ghazaryan tries, he will not be able to get rid of Arpine Sargsyan.
By the way, we would like to remind you that Arpine Sargsyan's husband Arshak Vardapetyan is currently the deputy head of the Justice Department, an employee of Karen Andreasyan and his close friend.
It should be noted that the conflict between Vahe Ghazaryan and Kristine Grigoryan has deep roots and goes back to the time when the Deputy Minister of Justice Kristine Grigoryan (now the head of the Armenian FIS - ed.) insisted on buying Skoda cars for the new patrol service, while the Armenian police bought Toyota cars.
Let us recall that during the formation of the Interior Ministry, Arpine Sargsyan had ambitions to become minister, but in the end, Vahe Ghazaryan was appointed minister, which caused great dissatisfaction among Soros NGOs, there were even statements that they would stop cooperating with the Interior Ministry headed by Vahe Ghazaryan," the article said.
