Media: Russian oligarch Karapetyan building political alliance in Armenia

New political forces may soon join the “Strong Armenia” alliance, a political bloc led by Russian oligarch Samvel Karapetyan, according to Yerevan-based Hraparak newspaper.

Two political groups — the “Country of Living” party and the national-civic movement “Hayaqve” — are expected to announce their entry into the alliance in the coming days, Caliber.Az reports, citing the newspaper.

“Hayaqve” had previously been in talks with the “Wings of Unity” party, associated with Arman Tatoyan.

Representatives of both groups may be included in the electoral list of the “Strong Armenia” bloc, sources say.

The number of seats allocated and the final composition of the list are expected to be announced soon.
