Media: Tehran rejects US 48-hour ceasefire proposal
03 April 2026 23:23
Tehran has rejected a United States proposal for a 48-hour ceasefire, according to Iran’s Fars news agency.
The report states that the US offer was transmitted on April 1 through one of Iran’s friendly countries.
According to Fars, assessments suggest the proposal came in the wake of escalating tensions in the region, as US military forces began facing serious challenges linked to what the outlet described as a miscalculation of Iran’s military capabilities.
“Iran’s response to this proposal was not written, but field-based — with the continuation of intensive attacks,” the publication writes.
