Media: Three terrorists killed after suicide bomber targets Pakistani security headquarters
Three terrorists were killed after a suicide bomber targeted the Federal Constabulary (FC) headquarters in Pakistan’s Peshawar early on November 24, security officials said.
The attack began around 8 a.m. local time when a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the main gate of the FC compound. Following the blast, two additional militants attempted to breach the headquarters but were shot dead before gaining entry, according to security sources, Caliber.Az reports via Dawn.
Officials said three FC personnel were killed and two others wounded in the attack. Security forces sealed off the area, and a clearance operation was launched to ensure no further threats remained.
Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmad confirmed to local media that the HQ had come under attack and that the area was being cordoned off.
City hospitals shifted into emergency mode. Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) and Khyber Teaching Hospital activated emergency protocols, with LRH spokesperson Muhammad Asim reporting that all injured brought in — including six civilians — were in stable condition.
