Media: US awaits response from Iran’s supreme leader on settlement proposal
The United States is expecting a response today, on April 22, from Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, regarding Washington’s latest proposal for a settlement, Axios journalist Barak Ravid announced on X, citing an Israeli source.
“One reason for Trump's decision is that the U.S. and Pakistani mediators have been waiting for Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei to respond to the latest proposal and give a clear directive to his negotiators, according to a regional source familiar with the mediation efforts and an Israeli source with knowledge of the discussions,” Ravid wrote.
