Middle East, bilateral ties in focus as Bayramov meets Central Asian partners
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov continued his engagement with Central Asian partners, holding separate meetings with the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to exchange views on enhancing bilateral cooperation and regional priorities.
In a meeting with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, the sides discussed the situation in the Middle East, Caliber.Az reports via the Foreign Ministry.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF-2026) and also covered allied relations between the two brotherly countries across bilateral and multilateral platforms, as well as the current security developments in the Middle East. The officials further exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
Bayramov also met with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev, where both sides reaffirmed that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, rooted in shared history, culture, and fraternal ties, continues to develop steadily.
They emphasised that active political dialogue at all levels serves as a key driving force behind cooperation in trade, economic, transport, cultural, educational, and humanitarian areas.
The two ministers also highlighted the importance of coordinated engagement within international and regional organisations, including the UN, the Organisation of Turkic States, and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, expressing confidence that sustained mutual support will further strengthen multilateral cooperation.
