Military aircraft crashes in western Iran, one pilot killed
A military aircraft belonging to the Iranian Army crashed during a night training mission in western Iran’s Hamadan province on the evening of February 19, killing one of the two pilots on board.
The incident occurred in the Nobaran area, according to Iranian media outlets including Fars and TABNAK, which cited official sources from the country’s Air Force.
Deputy Governor of Hamadan province Hamza Amrai said rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the crash site. Emergency responders secured the area and provided assistance to the surviving pilot, whose condition has not been publicly disclosed.
Preliminary reports indicate that the aircraft went down during a routine night-time training flight. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
