Millions of Iranians took to the streets on February 11 to participate in the annual 22 Bahman rallies across the country, marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The marches began in Tehran and other major cities, drawing participants from diverse ethnic groups, including the Bakhtiari and Arab tribes of Khuzestan, who joined the celebrations with their local customs, Mehr News Agency reports.
In Tehran, the rallies at Azadi Square featured the unveiling of wreckage from Israeli drones reportedly shot down during the 12-day war, alongside a display of various Iranian missiles. The display included Qassem Soleimani, Fateh, and Fatah 110 missiles, sending a pointed message from Tehran to Tel Aviv.
The 22 Bahman marches are held annually to commemorate the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution and are marked by both patriotic celebrations and public demonstrations of the country’s military capabilities.
